3-D Bug designs

Students in 5th grade were challenged with a BUG project recently. They had to design their own insect that included moveable parts. They worked with the CAD program called TinkerCad to achieve this feat. The bugs turned our great with moveable legs, antennae, wings and heads.

Mr. Reed

I was born and raised in Independence and enjoyed playing baseball and basketball as a Mustang! After graduating from Independence High School I earned my BA degree in Elementary Education with a Math minor from the University of Northern Iowa, and my Talented and Gifted Endorsement through Viterbo University. I taught 17 years in Marshalltown, and it's great to be a MUSTANG once again. I currently am working with students in the Extended Learning Program here at West Elementary and the JSH.
